Our research interest is to devise lightweight and highly-efficient solutions for today’s sophisticated applications on mobile-edge devices with limited computational capabilities.In particular, we design and implement domain-specific accelerators on embedded FPGAs (reconfigurable devices) for a wide range of applications, including on-device learning (Edge AI & TinyML), point cloud processing, and simultaneous localization and mapping.
As computational and memory costs continue to rise, deploying these applications on edge devices while maintaining both accuracy and performance presents an exciting challenge and is a source of innovative research ideas.
