Our research target is research and development of robotic technologies for outdoor field applications, particularly in areas such as emergency recovery after natural disasters and automated construction at worksites. Our concrete research focuses on the following topics:
- Planning and control of coordinated operations for multiple small construction machines in disaster areas
- Development of remote survey equipment for disaster sites using drones for unmanned transportation
- Cooperative control of multiple construction machines to enable automated construction
- Excavation motion optimization for hydraulic excavators based on ground condition estimation to improve efficiency
