My research field is called numerical analysis, in particular numericallinear algebra, whose main focus is on numerical computations regarding linear algebra. Such computational procedures are formalized into algorithms. Some algorithms work well under certain conditions, whereas for strange problems they may break down or for ill-conditioned problems they may take time to give a solution and may give an incorrect solution.

The reason for that may be revealed and techniques for overcome such drawbacks may be developed by analyzing structures and properties of the algorithms. From the generality of mathematics, we can apply similar theories to problems which come from different fields but have similar characteristics. It is my great pleasure to do research activities in pursuit of interest in mathematical theory with view of the application of the developed algorithms to practical engineering.
