My research focuses on understanding human characteristics and applying them to create systems that feel intuitively easy to understand and natural to use. In particular, I explore communication methods between people and automated vehicles, as well as design requirements for driver assistance systems based on human characteristics. From small everyday discomforts and mistakes to operations in emergency situations, I design and evaluate new interfaces while taking into account people’s feelings and states. Beyond automobiles, would you like to join me in designing comfortable and human interfaces for the future?
